ABOUT TURMERIC

It is a rhizomatous herbaceous perennial plant of ginger family. It is native to southern Asia having temperature range 20°c to 30° c with considerable amount of rainfall. Plants are gathered annually for their rhizomes during season.

The rhizomes are boiled for about 30-45 minutes and then dried in sun light for about 15 -20 days. Then polished and grind into deep orange-yellow powder.
